Birth-3 Program

Community Unit School District 300 Birth-3 Program

The Birth – 3 Program of District 300 is a Parents as Teachers (PAT) affiliate program.   We support parents in their most important role--that of being their child's first and most important teacher. No one will be more important to children's development and growth than their parents. The PAT program is designed to help parents feel more confident and gain more competence in their role. Parents receive information (based on years of research) to help stimulate growth and brain development in their children through participation in the various Parents as Teachers activities. The program is for families with children age prenatal to three.

Our PAT program provides the following FREE services to families living within Community Unit District 300 boundaries:

  • Developmental Screenings for any child age 2 months – 32 months
  • Teen Parent Program
  • Home Visiting Program for qualified families
  • Periodic Parent Cafes

If you are pregnant or are parenting a child birth – 3 years of age and would like further information on any of our FREE programs, please click on one of informational brochures.
